School Improvement Plan

Hollywood Elementary School provides a high-quality education focused on our students. Upon entering our hallways, you will experience students, staff, parents, and community members collaborating to provide a high-quality educational program that values teamwork, exploration, discovery, and problem-solving. HES serves approximately 450 students in grades PreK through 5. We have a diverse student body with an increasing population of military families from Naval Air Station Pax River. At HES, we set high expectations for all students with a standards-based curriculum that's progressive and challenging. Our vision and goals are focused on partnership, creating a safe school environment, and increasing academic achievement. Hollywood Elementary School has been identified as a Targeted Support and Improvement school for our Special Education Sub-group performance. Schools are identified as TSI if they have at least one student group performing as low as the lowest performing 5% of Title I schools.
